Ecosystem

Check out the projects using and contributing to OpenOP...

As part of the OpenOP ecosystem, we are collaborating with various projects to enhance the capabilities and reach of our platform. Below are some of the key projects that are contributing to the OpenOP Research Ecosystem.

Research

The OpenOP platform is being utilized in various research projects, showcasing its versatility and potential for innovation. Here are some of the notable research projects that are leveraging OpenOP:

6G-DALI

6G-DALI

01 Jan 2025 - 31 Dec 2027

6G-DALI is implementing an AI framework for managing 6G networking data, and automating Machine Learning (ML) models’ lifecycle management. 6G-DALI will develop AI enablement interfaces. The AI/ML exposure is envisioned to be implemented as OpenOP extensions

FLECON-6G

FLECON-6G

01 Jan 2025 - 31 Dec 2027

FLECON-6G is an SNS-JU Stream-B project developing a blueprint 6G architecture with distributed, modular, open, and collaborative frameworks. FLECON-6G will contribute to the implementation of an OpenOP aggregation module, which will expose resources to a Marketplace portal.

6G-INTENSE

6G-INTENSE

01 Jan 2024 - 31 Dec 2026

6G-INTENSE is an SNS-JU Stream-B project implementing 6G Network Compute Fabric (NCF) optimizations, in accordance with related application tasks. The implemented optimizations will be contributed to the OpenOP Service Resource Management (SRM), tightly integrating networking and compute resource allocation.

SUNRISE-6G

SUNRISE-6G

01 Jan 2024 - 31 Dec 2026

SUNRISE-6G is a flagship project building a pan-European federated infrastructure for 6G experimentation. It seeds the core software components and adopts SDG OpenOP as the foundation for integrating and managing 6G testbeds under a unified framework. The project federates 14 advanced B5G/6G testbeds across Europe, each set to adopt the OpenOP platform, enabling scalable, standards-compliant, and AI-driven experimentation for cross-domain vertical use cases.
