Software & Standards for Smart Networks & Services 2026


We are proud to announce our presence in the 2026 edition of SNS4SNS, Software & Standards for Smart Networks & Services, which will take place in Sophia-Antipolis, FR from 2-5 February 2026.
Overview
SNS4SNS is an event that brings together open source communities, industry standardisation, and cutting edge research initiatives for the future development of next generation networks and services.
The event will consist of conferences, panel discussions, demos, tutorials and hackfests, where participants can delve into the world of open source software communities.
The meeting will be held in English, and in-person only. Some of the tutorials/hackfests will be recorded and published afterwards.

Tutorial
We held a very sucessful tutorial on Monday, showcasing OpenOP’s components and elements of architecture!

Conference, Hackaton, Demos
We had a very busy week! Here are some highlights:
- 1️⃣ Kostas Ramantas (Iquadrat) held a presentation about “The new ETSI SDG for an open-source operator platform” and Răzvan MIHAI/Cristian Patachia - Sultanoiu (Orange Romania) another one about “Network APIs challenge: framework, APIs, best practices, use cases and business opportunities” in a session about “Developer friendly APIs for telco” very fittingly chaired… by our own Chair: Vasileios Theodorou, PhD (Intracom Telecom).
- 2️⃣ Cesar Cornelio Cajas Parra (i2CAT Research Centre) presented two demos on “Demonstrating inter-platform federation for multi-operator edge application management” and “Demonstrating Open Operator Platform (OpenOP) standardised testbed capability exposure in federated 5G/6G environments”.
- 3️⃣ Vasiliki Parousidou (Intracom Telecom) presented a demo on “API-aware meta-orchestration of AI assets for secure and sovereign inter-operator AI plane federation – The OpenOP AI service exposure layer”.
- 4️⃣ Dimitris Gogos (Intracom Telecom) represented on stage OpenOP on our cross-SDGs efforts with the launch of a long term infrastructure/lab for cross-collaboration between SDGs and friends!
- 5️⃣ Claudia Carballo Gonzalez (i2CAT Research Centre) presented a poster on “Federation enablement for multi-operator platforms: orchestrating services with the OpenOP”.
