Release 0 is out!

I’m thrilled to announce the first official release of ETSI SDG OpenOP. This is a major milestone for the initiative, contributing to the broader thriving TelcoCloud community. CAMARA Project GSMA Open Gateway 3GPP Kubernetes. I can’t be more proud of our developer community!
SDG OpenOP (Open Operator Platform) is the ETSI open-source framework that lets network operators (honored to have BT Group, Orange Romania, OTE Group of Companies (HTO) onboard our growing ecosystem), vendors, SMEs, research institutions, and developers federate networks and testbeds with developer-friendly, standards-compliant capability exposure APIs — all in a collaborative, agile environment.
OpenOP builds upon EU-funded SNS Flagship SUNRISE-6G project on a pan-European 6G Infrastructures Federation, and with its expanding list of linked R&D projects, is bridging EU 6G research with standardization and open-source communities.
Think of it as a shared “playground + toolkit” where different players in the Telco Cloud ecosystem can experiment, innovate, co-develop, and test new Telco, Cloud & AI (Networks4AI) capabilities — without reinventing the wheel each time.
Cool features include:
- CAMARA API (Cloud/ Edge LCM and Quality on Demand QoD) –> translation to Kubernetes cloudnative and 5G Core solutions by our awesome Members (OpenAirInterface 5GC by EURECOM, Fraunhofer FOKUS Open5GCore)
- Network Federation Management as defined by GSMA OPG East-Westbound Interface APIs
I invite you — whether you’re from industry, academia, or open source — to join us in building the next generation of open, connected & intelligent solutions towards unleashing the Telco Cloud potential — together.
OpenOP = Open Up!
